Frame Making

The production of our frames is one of the very first steps of our sofa construction, and is arguably the most important. When looking for a solid frame that will last for generations, nothing beats kiln-dried hardwood such as the popular Beachwood that all of our sofas are produced from.

Kiln-drying the wood removes all of the moisture from the wood, which prevents it from cracking or warping over time, which in turn increases the life expectancy of the sofa. Forest Sofa has been using this type of wood for the past two decades and has a proven track record of durability. With our wood chosen, each frame is glued and stapled before finally using screws to reinforce the build.
